Wardrobe Consulting
For Men and Women

Did you know the average person can spend up to one year of life trying to decide what to wear?  You have better things to do! Give us just a few hours and we’ll get your overwhelming closet chaos under control. We’ll help you determine what to purge, tailor, or keep, as well as create a guide to avoid haphazard ‘remedy’ shopping.

Ever go to the grocery store without a list? You end up with too many of the wrong things, not enough of the right things, and most of it is never even used. Sound like everywhere you shop?  We’ll put some strategy in your shopping and show you where to find what you need based on your style, body type, budget, and lifestyle. Available both online and in-store.

You’ve discarded the distractions and gathered the goods, but you still need to look ‘put together.’ We’ll outfit new looks that will have you feeling confident — our ultimate goal.

ekl_03_16_PS-small2-2 Emily has been featured in or commissioned for projects for Vogue, People Magazine StyleWatch, Real Simple, Chicago MagazineChicago Social, Refinery29, The Everygirl, Daily Candy, Michigan Avenue Magazine, J.Crew, Bloomingdale’s, and Gap, Inc.  She has worked with women and men of all shapes and sizes, occupations, and lifestyles, from and in various areas throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia {i.e. she travels to clients and vice versa}.

Early in her career, Emily was a fit model for pants and denim at the e-commerce powerhouse shopbop. This hands-on {or pants-on} experience enabled her to clearly articulate the specifics of each style, as well as identify which fits would flatter a variety of body shapes. Emily has also earned certifications in custom menswear made from the finest cloth mills in the world.

After earning her degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Emily spent four years working with an internationally recognized collection of boutiques. She launched their e-commerce site and, under her management, the business grossed more than $1 million in annual sales in less than two years of its launch.

Emily went on to consult for luxury apparel and home boutiques. She used the ‘science of shopping’ to review customers’ purchase patterns and identify emerging trends, which resulted in quadrupling a client’s e-commerce revenue within a few months.

In 2009, Emily joined the award-winning independent wardrobe consulting company juliewatsonstyle, located at The 900 Shops on the Magnificent Mile. She worked with hundreds of individual clients, spearheaded the successful redesign of the company’s blog, developed and launched one of the most popular services, as well as managed business development, operations, marketing and social media.

Most recently, Emily was instrumental in growing Trunk Club’s Dallas team and business, which was vital to its acquisition by Nordstrom in 2014. She spearheaded the development of the women’s side of Trunk Club’s business in Dallas, setting the stage for regional expansion and the nationwide launch in 2015.

With over a decade in the fashion, apparel and retail industries, Emily has dedicated her career to advocating for her clients’ best interests with customized wardrobe strategies and taking the stress out of getting dressed. She is based in Chicago and Dallas, and is available for appointments nationwide.
